I am a felt artist inspired by the ever-changing landscapes, wildlife, and light of the Isle of Eigg.
From my garden overlooking Laig Bay and the Isle of Rum, I feel blessed to live in a place that constantly shapes and informs my work.
Every view, every shift in weather, offers something new to observe and translate into felt.
A Life in Felt
Two decades of handcrafting one-of-a-kind art
I have been creating felt art for over 20 years, exploring the textures, colors, and forms that wool and silk can bring to life. Over time, my practice has evolved from framed needle-felted pictures to more sculptural, three-dimensional signature pieces.
In recent years, I’ve been drawn to 3D creations for the depth, detail, and presence they bring — from layered feathers on an owl to the luminous shell of a sea turtle. Each piece is slow, tactile, and entirely unique.

The Isle of Eigg is at the heart of everything I create. Wildlife, landscapes, and the shifting weather inspire every detail of my work — no two pieces are ever the same.
I draw from the textures of the land, the colors of the sea, and the creatures that share this island with me.
While my workshops offer a chance to share my craft, the majority of my practice remains dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind felt artworks that capture the essence of this remarkable place.

I work with natural fibres such as merino wool and silk, using traditional needle-felting techniques.
Each artwork — whether a framed felt picture or a sculptural signature piece — is built layer by layer, detail by detail.
My 3D pieces, created over weeks of meticulous work, allow me to bring texture, depth, and life to the animals and scenes I love.
Every feather, fur, and detail is formed by hand, making each creation entirely unique.
